A revolutionary design after the previous Hrimfaxi Class. The Gleipnir has a wider hull so as to operate at open seas. It also has a lower center of mass than the previous destroyers. It has a rather low profile and fast speed to avoid attacks. Armed with 4x2 Mk114 Mod 2 127mm cannon as its main armament, providing this ship with powerful artillery power. Also it features two quintuple 533mm torpedo launcher with spare torpedoes to be reloaded. It has decent AA firepower with 4x2 55mm FlaK cannon and more than 20 30mm AA guns.
