Curtiss XF-87 Blackhawk

Auto Credit Based on MAHADI's WWII Jets Challenge! (CLOSED)

Act. 1: drop tanks
Act. 2: brake parachute

The Curtiss XF-87 was the final aircraft to bear the Curtiss name. It was designed as the XA-43 in March, 1945, and over the course of the year it morphed into the XF-87. However, financial strain and numerous issues prevented its ultimate construction until after the war. However, had it proceeded on time it would have been able to achieve its first flight by the end of Word War II. It never entered production due to unsatisfactory performance and high costs. The offset nosewheel would have been there to make room for the 8 nose guns that were to be shoved in.

Blueprints from a book I have if anyone is interested.

@Pita yes but the challenge had a mandatory scoring on weaponry.
also, the specs had room for guns or cannons on the nose.

@MrSilverWolf but there was a mandatory "Weaponry" rating for all the entries. if no weapons, then it's zero.

@Panthers4741 he changes the color afterward. I do this with a lot of builds Ill make it like a blue or something to see it well and then change it to whatever color I want it to be.
