I know, I know! Greenland is not fully independent! It is a consituent country in the Kingdom of Denmark, meaning that it is not officially "Denmark", much like Aruba in the Carribean is not officially "the Netherlands" and how Puerto Rico is not officially the "United States". Greenland is famous for being massive, cold, and sparsely populated. Greenland's flag, while being simple, is relatively good looking. The flag of Greenland's colors of red and white are based on the flag of Denmark. In the background that is not the circle, the red symbolizes the ocean, and the white symbolizes the ice caps and glaciers on Greenland. On the part where the colors are flipped, though, the colors mean different things. In this part, the red represents the sunset, and the white represents the icebergs.
