52.4k RocCrafter101  4.8 years ago

Background

The FB-33 "Badwolf" is a Royal Federation Airforce Supersonic Medium Bomber designed to be a cheaper alternative to the B1 Valor currently in service. Able to carry a payload capacity of 45,750 lbs. Wings can fold in (Without weapons mounted) to reduce area taken up on carriers. At full capacity, it can achieve speeds up to 1,520mph.

Badwolf is carries the "Fighter" designation when acting as a squadron level arsenal aircraft. The FB-33's sensor and communications suite has situational awareness as well as command and control and network-centric warfare capabilities. The main sensor on board is the AN/APG-91 active electronically scanned array-radar. Electro-Optical Targeting System provides the capabilities of an externally mounted Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod with a reduced radar cross-section. The AN/ASQ-239 mounted onboard is an electronic warfare suite, providing sensor fusion of radio frequency and infrared tracking functions, advanced radar warning receiver including geolocation targeting of threats, multispectral image countermeasures for self-defense against missiles, situational awareness and electronic surveillance.

Bomb targeting radars combined with electro-optical targeting systems allow targets to be located, tracked, identified and engaged in a short span of time.
