so in summary, short stuffs to make big stuffs.. but deep big stuffs because i am cured from worldbuilder's disease.. i think? maybe I'm just lazy but I can't be certain. it does make the world have a deeper feeling to it though, like something to ponder about.

it's fun seeing it materialize into a world.

  • your bomb's hit margin is quite decently large, courtesy of the 1,100lb bombs(if you miss, you're not cute.)
  • yes, the airship is a bit thin.. kinda.. it was originally supposed to be a high-speed design but it kinda evolved not to be because I feel like.. this amount of propeller kinda hits fun, "redundancy" and all(-ish)

    and if that doesn't work, here are some alternatives:
    -Attach a gun with low speed and high bullet spread to a gyroscope-stabilized fuselage piece. Make sure all pieces have partCollisionResponse set to None. This gun will act as the "flamethrower."
    -Same thing but with flares
    -A bunch of small bombs replicating a flame effect
    -Drop a ton of fuel tanks on the enemy

    1. You need to know how to make custom bombs (same way as custom missiles, attach a fuselage piece with 0 mass/drag to a detacher, put a bomb on the same detacher, then put that detacher on a pylon or another detacher). There's a tutorial on YT I think. Make sure the fuselage pieces are filled to brim with fuel.
    2. Set the bomb explosion to one of your liking, preferably nothing too massive (I'd keep it at or below 2).
    3. Here's the tricky part: balancing the HP of the fuselage pieces (mentioned in step 1) as to make it low enough to be damaged, but high enough not to get erased upon impact. If you can achieve this, you've got a decent firebomb in SP.
    4. Put fuel tanks using the same health + no mass/drag principle onto the fuselage pieces for more effect.


    It's not super consistent, but if you work hard and play it right, it can work. Also, another thing that may help is making the fuselage pieces and fuel tanks have partCollisionResponse set to None to ensure that they are damaged by the bomb instead of the impact, otherwise the fire effects may not happen. Just make sure that if you try this, put the bomb close to the front to ensure it will still detonate.

    I know how to make bombs have the fiery effect post-explosion, but it's hard
