Here, we, go, AGAIN

Från Helvetets Vindar, Regnar Den Rättfärdige Döden Ner.

(From the Winds of Hell, Raining Down Righteous Death)

NOTE: Do you all like the new description style, or would you like me to go back to before?

The JAS-32 Imperator!

Type: Naval Strike Aircraft
Top Speed: ~790MPH
Speed of Super Maneuverability: Less than ~350MPH

The JAS-32 Imperator is a multirole (but primarily strike) fighter aircraft designed by Eagle Dynamics in 2006. It features sweeping wings and Thrust Vectoring, alongside a 2 seater cockpit, accommodating for a WSO. It also includes the AR/LRDWU-99 AESA radar, and the PARS-1M and XR-76A missiles to go alongside.

Activation Groups

AG-1: Canopy
AG-2: Tailhook
AG-3: Sweep Wings
AG-4: Master Arm
AG-5: Master Jettison
AG-6: Empty
AG-7: Ejection (Just hit AG-1 first, I am done with this SP cockpit collision bs.)
AG-8: TVC

Armaments

The JAS-32 features 3 major weapons

XR-76A (×4)
Short Range IR Guided AAM, High Maneuverability

PARS-1M (×6)
Mid Range ARH AAM, Medium Maneuverability

GBU-2000 Rätte (×4)
Mid/Long Range IR/Laser Guided Bomb with Rocket, Low Maneuverability

History

In 2006, Exeronian Head of State Jane Skeletá approved to commission a set of trials for Exeron to adopt a new strike aircraft, as Exeron's strike forces were dominated by helicopters and the JS-45 Slipstream. The trial saw the major three companies competing, each with vastly different designs. The JAS-32, in particular, was the only one built with multirole capabilities in mind, presumably modeled after the JS-31, though with the flare of Eagle Dynamics. Due to time constraints, the JAS-32 demonstrator was sent to the Rättenheim trials with a stand-in cockpit, and due to the unexpected weight differences and the hastiliness of the construction, the aircraft lost control mid-maneuver, and the pilot failed to eject, killing him. Despite this spectacular incident, Exeron still adopted the JAS-32, citing the improper cockpit and faulty seats as "Not at the fault of the airframe, but rather human error and haste." Upon being adopted, the JAS-32 took on the name "Imperator", due to the ideal that a group of JAS-32s can establish absolute control over a battlefield as its "Surpreme Commander", with the gunner of the aircraft focusing on commanding the units on the ground, while also searching for enemy targets and positions.

THANK YOU FOR READING! (unless you didn't, in which case) THANK YOU!

This is a repost of the original, after fixing the canopy alignment issue. I hate SP, I am crying in a ball on my bed.

@SchmooveBrain I’ll try to disect the plane and mess around, maybe even fix some of the drawbacks. Thanks for the tips!

@CloverAerospaceDivision do a little research on the conventions of stealth aircraft first, and I recommend using structural wings to flatten out a semi round aircraft, and use those for potential weapons bays
For example, the JS-55A Sleipnir is probably my stealthiest design, but it has drawbacks, mainly in having suspended armaments
The major convention of 6th gen fighters is in the blend of maneuverabilty and stealth, so I recommend using a pair of "flat" TVC engines (look at the F-22A's nozzles to see what I mean)

@SchmooveBrain I want to make a 6th generation stealth fighter, but I don’t really know where to start. Can you give me some tips?

@Kikikokikomarumaru15000 ARE YOU ACTUALLY KIDDING ME???
IT'S THE SWITCHES THAT CAUSE THIS???
    WHY
    WHAT
    this game
    I love this game
    this game makes me crazy
    this game makes me cry
    .
    That being said tho
    Thank you :3
I've had this bug mess up many of my aircraft before, I never knew that was the reason

You guys are ALL WRONG. It's not the problem with pylons, it's not shocks, it's not pistons, hell it isn't the canopy itself.

It's those switches. It's those fucking switches. These little SHITS think they're oh so funny with their "ignore the ignoreAircraftCollisions" bullshit, they think they're too good for toggle-able hitboxes. Well guess what? I will NOT use this GARBAGE part for my builds EVER AGAIN. I will use anything other than switches to make my switches. I will REPLACE this INFERIOR part with the SUPERIOR other part made with 5 fuselage blocks and ...ok whatever, but my point is

    FUCK these switches.

@Rob119 i just never use pistons tbh

@SchmooveBrain no, the stock canopy just absolutely hates being connected at all to a detacher. Bizarre, I've never encountered that before. And the usual technique of "connect block to then connect to block" doesn't work, Interesting. Well I can say that RnDs gunna have a field day with this one.
Also pistons are very easy to work with once you understand there core principles, I should really make. Forum on that

@SchmooveBrain ok so I know the problem.
It seems to simply be just a problem with the canopy being resized and directly connected to the pylon, I'll see if I can fix it further

  • Profile image

@Rob119 I don't use pistons, or shocks, for that very reason

  • Profile image

@SchmooveBrain that's why I don't use the stock canopy part. It's useful but unreliable.
(Man if you crash out this hard about a canopy just wait till you try working with pistons) but for future reference, if you need anything for your builds (and I mean anything from art, decals, fixes, or hell my patented wing sweep sub assembly) feel free to ask, I'm typically available and fast.

@Rob119 that stupid issue where if you have a canopy sunk into a fuselage with a detacher it would start janking the cockpit and making it move to spots it shouldn't be, and it's SP's way of completely screwint up something you just spent hours making

    @SchmooveBrain
    .... the, plane... right?
    .
Also I'd like to know the problem the canopy had

  • Profile image

@Rob119 it should be fixed. If it isn't and it magically broke again out of nowhere, I'm just ending it
    Nevermind, still broken
I honestly just don't care anymore. SP does this so often it's not even funny. It's connected to the fuselage so it won't come off during Ejection but it also won't mess up, so people can cry all they want.
