Weapon bay for Dassault Super-Mystère B.2
On the left : "Lance-roquettes de soute" Matra Type 105
Designed in the 50s, this rocket launcher was designed to carry 35 SNEB 68mm rockets, either with Air-to-Air or Air-to-Ground warheads.
This is a retractable rocket launcher ; the rockets will be activated and get out of the bay by using Activation Group 3.
In real life, the rocket launcher wasn't always installed and began to be replaced by a fuel tank. Read more about it below.
On the right : "Réservoir de soute" (fuel tank) for S-M B.2.
Capacity : 370L of jet fuel.
This tank was designed to fit in the weapon bay of the Super-Mystère when the rocket launcher wasn't installed.
Due to accidents that happened because of the rocket launcher, the fuel tank became installed everytime, and the rocket launcher was abandoned.
To use these bays, grab them by their tops and use them as subassemblies.
