RAF tornado GR4.

I haven't been on Simpleplanes for a few years now, but I'm back.

This aircraft is based off 064 of the XV RAF reserve squadron stationed in Lossiemouth, Scotland.
Sadly, these beautiful jets were at last retired in 2019 to make way for the more advanced F-35 Lightning

About this project:
-the sweeping wings were a pain to make and took a decent amount of time to perfect.
-the handling of the aircraft was also incredibly difficult to get right. The original version was very unstable.
-the cockpit is INOP (I plan on upgrading this in the future by making a proper cockpit).
-the cockpit layout is roughly the same as the real aircraft.
-the thing blows itself up when firing ground missiles while wings are swept back lol

AG8: Lights
AG7: Jettison fuel pods
VTOL: wing sweep
trim: fuel probe

Great build! I tweaked your XML to fix an issue with the airspeed gauge. Make sure to select Preset instead of Gauge Face when selecting a gauge type.

@Tang0five I'll notes that down. I will probably make a reworked cockpit version in the near future.

Beautiful plane! Flies gorgeously!! Just needs a desert pink color scheme for me ;)

Lovely job, used to get these buzzing my house when I was a kid! Overall neat build - I’d avoid using the fuselage cone part for aircraft noses as it never looks right and somewhat spoils the look. There’s issues with the dials constantly spinning - not too sure what the workaround is for fixing that I’m afraid.

@idontknow8b ty! I was thinking the same as you, my only concern was that I was a little worried it would f*ck up the sweeping wing mechanism. It was a stressful part of the build XD

@HarryBRZ also if you don’t know how to make screws, you just get a normal fuselage part, scale it down to the right size for you build. Make sure it is cylinder-like and has a bit of length.

@HarryBRZ it’s great! Looks awesome! My only bug is that the wing looks lacking a bit of detail compared the the main body. Maybe adding screws would help, or adding dark lines to separate the wings and rudders apart.
