The convoy driving around Krakabloa is attempting to start an unnecessary conflict. The squad before you are trained in assault tactics and are ready to conduct an interdiction operation to stop the convoy. Your task is to build an aircraft capable of conducting an aerial insertion of the squad and allow them to do what they do best... break stuff. The mission will launch from Yeager Airport, cross the channel, search for and interdict the convoy.
Rules:
-All entries upvoted
-Due 11 December
-You must use all 9 squad members
-You may reconfigure where the squad member sit, which direction they face etc. but you must retain 1x Leader (with radio), 2x LMGs and 6x Riflement.
-The aircraft (no tanks/APCs/boats) must be capable of taking off from Yeager and landing very close to the convoy. VTOL/Helicopter is probably your best option, however a STOL capable plane could work. There should be enough fuel to return to Yeager.
-No Mods i have to download
-Fine tuner, overload, XML encouraged
-150 parts minimum
-Must be your own work! do not copy others and please give credit where due

@Iamtheoneman semantics asside. Intent is to land and drop troops off. provide overwhelming combat power in a position most disadvantageous to the enemy!
So, is this an air assault, as in paratroopers, or a air-to-ground assault where the aircraft lands, drops the troops, then takes off?

@GuyWhoMakesStuff it should land. You can have a mechanism to drop them off upon landing, but parachutes takes us out of the realm of assault and into the realm of airborne!
