A quick build using the components of my Junkers A50 amphibian: This is the basic two-engined version A-50/2M, made to look like something that could ply the skies over Berlin in the 1930's. It sports an advertisement for the 'Berliner Zeitung am Mittag', who was one of the main sponsors of German Aviatrix Elli Beinhorn on her long-distance record flights. So it is a small stretch to imagine Elli herself flying this aircraft to shoot some event coverage from the air for her employer, filming material for some nature documentaries or helping out the DEFA Babelsberg film studios by taking up a cameraman for some additional coverage of a mass movie scene.
Flying is generally pretty straightforward for a 1930's plane without flaps or retractable landing gear. Just remember to go easy on the brakes when landing. It's a taildragger after all.
Ps, The figures I used for the pilot and camera man can be downloaded HERE. The heads are chosen from the collection available HERE
