The USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51) is the lead ship of her class of guided-missile destroyers, commissioned in 1991 and named after Admiral Arleigh Burke, a distinguished WWII and Korean War veteran. She is a multi-mission warship equipped with the Aegis Combat System and incorporates stealth technology to reduce her radar signature. The ship has served in various operations, including air defense, anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, and strike missions.
