F-15 C

15.9k Allstar  8.4 years ago

Designed with increased agility and operability across all devices in mind. After Kevin Murphy deleted his F-15, I decided I'd make one of my own. In testing, it has achieved 1,000 mph with its 1.5x engines. It's quite stable and reliable in it's flight, so I believe it reflect how well this aircraft and its variants have faithfully served the U.S, Israeli, Japanese, and Saudi air forces. Happy Thanksgiving!
*Edit: Very special thanks to Authros, without whom, this build wouldn't have been possible.

@Allstar Do you think you'll ever do the STOL/MTD or ACTIVE variants with the forward canards? Never saw combat, but man are they nice looking aircraft.

Gee, thanks. When making it, I thought competitively, envisioning it in combat against other similarly sized aircraft. I read up on the real deal and tried to make it's flight characteristics similar. The deflection of the rotators is about the same as on the same thing. The trim system was designed so that it could comfortably carry whatever load it had to carry and apparently it only needs a small range of movement to do that, which allows for very minute adjustments. Actually, this was the less detailed, movile frendly version. I have one with improved visual aesthetics in the works. I'm really glad you like it, as it's my favorite. Sorry, for writing an essay. @spartan448

This is honestly one of the best damn things I've seen in a game like this. I like that unlike seemingly every other jet this one doesn't wobble around too much whenever you try to pitch up and down, so you can actually dogfight in it. Not to mention the attention to detail is amazing, especially with the ability to trim out the rear elevators for level flight. Seriously, awesome work man.

They're attached to 3 sets of rotators. One set is linked to normal pitch, another is linked to roll and the last is linked to VTOL, so that it can trim easily. It's XML modded. @dankA

How did you make the pitch wings, pitch without a control surface?

@Allstar I would have done a two tone with a lighter semi gloss grey on top and a light non glossy blue at the bottom with a gold coated canopy :)

Awesome replica. Would you consider making the F-15 STOL/MTD or ACTIVE variants?

Yes, I plan to add some more details to the design and equip some weapons. But, I probably won't finish it until after the update comes out, since I don't want it to quickly become obsolete. Also, thanks for noticing that airbrake. It was very interesting to make. Sadly, it pretty much does nothing to your speed.@Rohan Thank you very much for your assistance in the creation of this plane. @Authros

Ok, you have to make both pylons detach for it to work! I was messing with it. Also will we get a super cool part heavy version? I want one like that! @Allstar

It's very good except, all grey looks hideous (sorry m8 don't take offence i'm a critic) and it could use more details, :)

Thanks. I just made it for maximum mobile friendliness, so it's pretty vanilla. Also, I noticed that whole stickiness thing, too. I wasn't quite sure what was happening, since the error was inconsistent. @Rohan

Ok, so this is one of the best if not the best F-15 I have seen. Some things I don't like are: It's all Grey, no decals or USAF logos, or anything. Second the drop tanks stick to the plane once fired away, it caused me to explode.
