DESCRIPTION

The F/A-90 is a large, multirole aircraft developed by DHC for the German Luftwaffe. It is the corporation's second aircraft, and it didn't use any kind of top secret technology in its interiors. The production of both the mass-production and special models of the F-68 proved too expensive, especially the models with the engines that didn't use fuel. The aircraft was produced in decently large numbers, with a total of 492 units with only 7 in active service in the Luftwaffe. The aircraft has high roll capabilities but had slower pitch response, making it a weak and vulnerable target in close range dogfights. With new discoveries in wing attachments, the aircraft is nigh-invincible to overstress in 90 degree nosedives. This capability gave the aircraft more offensive capacity against ground targets, with the aircraft capable of full-throttle divebomb runs. The inverted pitch flaps that were present in the F-68 are now replaced with actual landing flaps [VTOL down to use] in the F/A-90, and the air brakes are placed on top of the landing flaps as separate flap pieces. To cut production costs, the materials used to build the aircraft consisted of conventional steel plates. To maintain durability, the plates are made of titanium, but this made the aircraft heavier. To solve that, the titanium plates were thinner by 2 centimeters and thus nullified the potential durability of the material. The corporation didn't like using the default rear landing gear from the market for this aircraft, seeing as these were to bulky for the aircraft's airframe. The corporation spent money for the designers to make custom-made rear landing gear, and the durability of the gear was sacrificed to maintain the airframe's lightness and streamlining. The gear didn't hide into the main fuselage, rather these hinged upwards to hide snugly inside the wing and made the design more streamlined.
