The testing mount of the RH-050

DESC

The RH-050 is a 50mm smooth-bore cannon designed to make the cannon of a MBT fit in much smaller vehicles, though still requiring the length of one, at about 17.7ft long, the gun was designed with the idea that shells that were incredibly long for their caliber were going to be put in it. The main shell of it is still APFSDS like many other guns of the era, but the rod of the shell is quite small but long, being around 20mm in diameter and taking up about 1/3 of the shell, this long rod allows it to penetrate the armor of MBTs in work with the large amount of propellant needed. While the base material of the rod has not been decided, this design allows it to reach penetration not quite but near similar to that of the larger, RH-120. The weapon has suffered problems however with its recoil system, though it is to be mainly on tanks, the thought in the future is that this current complex recoil system would be removed and replaced by a tank mounted one. While still in testing, it is expected to be fielded by Prussia by 2032.
