Auto Credit Based on Beefy's PADC Tamaraw

RP-C1320

265 part version

Land anywhere. Literally.

The Tamaraw is a STOL aircraft with landing gears that can literally survive a hard landing that's supposed to fold most aircraft in half. The main gears were inspired by the suspension in Mike Patey's Scrappy double wishbone, and the nose gear is a trailing link.

The aircraft's tires are of the Alaskan Bushwheels type, with the 35" variant for the mains and 26" for the nose. The wing airfoil is a Clark Y.

Controls:

AG1 - Master Switch
AG2 - Engine #1
AG3 - Engine #2
Trim - enabled
VTOL - Flaps

To Start The Engines (semi realistically :P):

Press AG1, wait for the propeller blades to move to neutral, then press AG2. Wait for a second or two, or until the engine RPM settles (refer to noise). Then, press AG3. Wait until Engine #2's RPM settles, then begin taxiing.

Specifications:

Powerplants:

Garrett T76/Honeywell TPE331 (original and test variants used engines salvaged from PAF's retired OV-10s), downrated to 750hp

Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6A-25C (later versions), 750hp

Propeller:

Hamilton Standard 3-blade,150 in (also salvaged from OV-10, original)

Hartzell HC-B3TN-3D, 150 in (later version)

Fuel Capacity:

326 gallons (doubled in game to increase range)

Significant Speeds

Stall speed: 60 knots
Cruise speed: 150-180 knots
Never exceeed speed: 240 knots

Happy Flying!
