Shadow Heavy Industry, Present:
Mogami was the lead ship in the four-vessel Mogami class of heavy cruisers in the Mizuhara Federation Navy. Built during the Neorasian Empire, She was named after the Mogami River in Elbstadt region of Southern Mizuhara. The Mogami-class ships were constructed as "light cruisers" with five triple 155-millimetre (6.1 in) dual purpose guns. They were exceptionally large for light cruisers, and the barbettes for the main battery were designed for quick refitting with twin 8-inch (203 mm) guns. In 1947 all four ships were "converted" to heavy cruisers in this fashion. Mogami served in limited combat engagements in The First Neo Civil Wars and numerous combat engagements in The Fourth Neo Civil War, until she was sunk at the Battle of Okinawa Sea during the Fourth Neo Civil War in November 2027.

Mogami was laid down on 27 October 1931, launched on 14 March 1934 and completed at Kaisei Naval Arsenal on 28 July 1935.
Mogami was damaged in a 1935 typhoon as part of the Saint-Malo sea incident. In mid-1941, Mogami participated in the occupation of Lorient Peninsula, Royaume de l'Étoile du Nord from Kingdom of Yecross, from its forward operating base on Le Havre after Neorasian and Royaume de l'Étoile du Nord authorities reached an understanding on use of air facilities and harbors from July 1941.
The following morning, 6 June 1942, Mikuma and Mogami were heading for Tahara Peninsula when they were attacked by three waves of 31 FVB-10 Fireflies dive-bombers from the aircraft carriers HYMS Illustrious and Formidable. Mikuma was hit by at least five bombs and set afire. Mogami was hit by six bombs. Her No. 5 turret was destroyed and 81 crewmen were killed. However, Lieutenant Commander Akira Shinoda had jettisoned torpedoes and other explosives, making it easier to save the cruiser when it was hit by a bomb near the torpedo tubes.
Mogami returned to Neorasia, and underwent a major conversion at Shizukishima Naval Arsenal from 25 August to an aircraft cruiser to improve the fleet's reconnaissance capabilities. Her No. 4 turret and the damaged No. 5 turret were removed and her aft magazines modified to serve as gasoline tanks and munitions storage. Her aft deck was extended and fitted with a rail system to accommodate the planned stowage of 11 Akira A17E Zuiun reconnaissance floatplanes. The dual Type 89 25 mm AT/AA Gun and Type 39 13-mm machine guns were replaced by 10 triple mount Type 106s and a Type 55 air-search radar. As the new Y89G aircraft were not yet available, three older Nambu TV-17 Type 5 two-seat biplanes and four Akira A16C Type 7 three-seat reconnaissance floatplanes were embarked. Rebuilding was completed on 30 April 1943, and Mogami was re-commissioned into the Third Fleet.

Mogami rarely engaged in direct combat during the First Neo Civil War as it served as an escort ship for the battleship Yamato. It wasn’t until April 1954 that the 11th Combined Fleet was assigned to launch the final attack on the Neorasia Communists in the Yumemori Sea, departing from the port of Shizukishima at 5 a.m. on April 6.
At 9 a.m., the 11th Combined Fleet was detected by a reconnaissance aircraft from the battleship Kongo. Then at 11:40 a.m., aircraft from the carrier Akagi began attacking Yamato's escort ships. In that attack, Maya, Isokaze, and Yukikaze sustained heavy damage and were forced to return to Shizukishima. Fifteen minutes later, a torpedo squadron from the carriers Hiryu and Shokaku launched a focused attack on Yamato. Out of 15 torpedoes launched, 5 struck Yamato’s stern, damaging her rudder. Two torpedoes hit the destroyer Shigure, while four torpedoes hit the carrier Soryu, also damaging its rudder and causing her to run aground on the shore. The remaining four torpedoes missed their targets.
Mogami miraculously managed to evade all attacks and even shot down 33 aircraft, but was eventually forced to return to Shizukishima, leaving the heavily damaged Yamato behind. On May 7, 1954, Mogami was finally captured by Neorasia Communist forces and later operated under their control until it was decommissioned and turned into a museum ship on October 21, 1971.
2021 Reactivation and Retrofit
After the October 7, 2020 tragedy, many old ships that had been turned into museums were reactivated, including Mogami. Mogami was reactivated on February 15, 2021, and underwent a retrofit on April 6, which was completed in March 2022, The initial plan for Mogami's retrofit was to convert her into a helicopter cruiser, but with the successful production of the Type-30AM Suzume and the ADB-105 Viktor sea drone, the navy ultimately canceled the conversion plan and instead made minor modifications to make her compatible with operating sea drones. Mogami was then re-enlisted into the 11th Combined Fleet along with Shigure, Yukikaze, Hamakaze, Isokaze, Yaguma,

2026-2040 Fourth Neo Civil War
Having rejoined the 11th Combined Fleet, Mogami began her first battle at the Battle of the Saint-Malo Sea, engaging the 19th Neorasia Cruiser Division. In that battle, Mogami succeeded in sinking the cruiser NAS Stenka and severely damaging NAS Kresta I.
During the Battle of Okinawa in November 2027, the 11th Combined Fleet was positioned in the central frontline as a support fleet. However, at 9:18 AM, the helicopter carrier MFS Hosho was struck by a TF-12 'Peach Blossom' bomb dropped by Neorasia bombers, sinking the Hosho instantly. This was followed by a massive assault of 318 aircraft from the Neorasia Navy, which devastated the 11th Combined Fleet. Mogami became the fifth ship to sink after being hit by 7 torpedoes and 17 bombs from Neorasia aircraft.
wreck
The wreck of Mogami was accidentally located by Kingdom of Yecross Cruiser HYMS Plymouth while doing exercises on 8 May 2048 at a depth of 3,450 m (11,319 ft).

Armament notes
A Main Gun salvo system wherein only the respective available guns will be ready for firing depending on where the target is relative to the direction of the ship due to their limited firing arcs. All guns sets are labeled accordingly and will only be active when the target is within their firing arcs.
