GB-9 Furia — Interceptor & Air Supremacy Super-Prop

[Knock-Off Earth]

Overview

The Guardian Aerospace GB-9 Furia, which translates to Fury in English, is a super-prop interceptor and air supremacy fighter. It is a fast, lightweight, agile, and maneuverable aircraft. Its empty weight is about 6,000lb, whilst its loaded weight is around 9,600lb. With a radial engine ripped directly out of the GB-4NB Super Screecher, it is planted in the nose, and has a few differences from the usual GB-4NB Super Screecher’s engine. The GB-9 Furia’s engine has much more RPM, giving it a much higher speed and better performance. Its propeller joints are sturdier, with a larger spinner on its propeller. Its landing gear retracts into the wings, and it is simpler with no opening doors creating immense air friction. Four 12.7mm/50 cal. machine guns are located just above the engine, and four 20mm machine guns/cannons are located on the wings with two on either side. A detailed VR cockpit is also included, with a brand new canopy design. Sorry it doesn’t open or slide back, I don’t know how to do that with this kind of canopy yet. But by far, the best feature of this plane in my opinion is the pure speed. This machine can obtain speeds near 600 miles per hour. I have even seen it reach beyond 630 miles per hour whilst flying straight!

The GB-9 was built primarily for intercepting fast and high-altitude targets. Most recently at the time of upload, the Meriko “Shooting Star” jet transport made by Bell-Lands. It threatens our national security and our ability to take out critical equipment and supplies coming into our enemy’s territory. This plane can quickly climb to the threat’s high altitude, neutralize said threat, and take care of other aircraft in the area if necessary. The GB-9 always flies with at least one wingman, and usually in groups of 10 or up to 30 aircraft. They can be used for bomber escorts, and dogfighting effectively.

Landings in this plane are pretty hard, it’s my first time making
landing gear like this and I am still working to fix all these flaws
in my gear design. So sorry in advance

@TheUltimatePlaneLover Lol, it’s a super-prop. Basically just a prop plane that can reach speeds of 600mph

@RestlessGalaxies thank you! I am trying a lot of new techniques. The canopy and landing gear are very different from how I usually build them.

@DeeganWithABazooka edit the tractions in XML, this plane suffers from spinning on the ground and I forgot to edit it. I fixed it before by editing the tractions but then changed it to fix something else and forgot. I forgot a few things I just realized, like FAE on the bottom of the left wing, the wrong fill amount on the panel of the left landing gear leg, the ailerons not being inverted from each other, etc.

@B1BLancer Well first: How do you make the landing gear not make the aircraft spin on the ground?

@DeeganWithABazooka Okay, 35 units of the GB-9 to be delivered by June, 1944. And sure, I can teach you how to do these things. Shoot me a question!
