Heeey there! It's me again. Our experimental design madhouse has built a new flying machine!
But seriously, I decided to rework my old plane, Aircraft 9.
Basically, it's a bomber-missile carrier with similar specs to the original, something like a Tu-95.
Overall, this is my second full attempt at building a large aircraft and my first time designing a cockpit for this class of vehicle. So… yeah, the interior probably leaves a lot to be desired, but at least it's there, and it seems to fly pretty well). And the pilot (on the left) got the short end of the stick when it comes to buttons. All the controls are with the navigator-weapons operator. So the pilot doesn't get distracted, so to speak.
It’s powered by four sort of propfan-style engines, which also make use of exhaust energy to generate extra thrust and increase top speed, though at the cost of somewhat higher fuel consumption (okay, fine, – I just slapped some jet engines next to the turboprops).
The bomb bay carries 16 Cleaver cruise missiles mounted on two rotary launchers.
