History of the Tu-95

The Tupolev Tu-95 is a project led by Andrei Tupelov in 1951 after a new set of requirements from the Air force or the Government (source unclear) to design a plane capable of 8,000 kilometres, a 11,000 Kg bomb bay mass, with fuel efficient powerplants. Tupolev stood up for the project and designed the Tu-95 plane. Based off from the Tu-85, a lengthened version of the Tu-4.

Andrei decided to use turboprops over jet engines as jets consume more fuel than a turbo prop and therefore longer range, giving the Tu-95 the legs to threat United States.

The Tu-95 fortunately was never utilised to its fullest extent and so as other aircraft during the Cold War period as the plane can carry the Tsar Bomba, the most powerful Hydrogen bomb at the time. Although it operated as a surveillance aircraft along the USSR coast. But due its aging systems, numerous modernization are needed to keep the plane updated, using cruise missiles and going away with dumb bombs, and adding a radar station at the nose of the plane. and Despite its age, it still operates today.

Note from Creator

I am building a modded version of this plane with greater detail, and lesser parts. However, it is still not finished. So if you guys are interested, stay tuned for the next week. And a new plane is in the works and bound for takeoff, the B2707 in Pan Am Livery. Should be published next week.

-The Plane tends to nosedive below 300mph
