STORY
The FFL-145 Weller-Lebrem-class corvette was developed as a successor to the aging MS-98 Raue Wellen-class missile boat, which was commissioned in 1998.
While the MS-98 was primarily tasked with intercepting suspicious vessels and coastal defense, its armament was limited to a single 67mm rapid-fire cannon, one 12.7mm machine gun, and four anti-ship missiles.
In contrast, the Weller-Lebrem is equipped for multi-role combat, including modern drone threats. It features a 35mm AF/AAMG-35 anti-air autocannon, 930-type lightweight torpedoes for ASW, two 12.7mm machine guns, a quad-packed VLS with 4 surface-to-air missiles, and 7 anti-ship missiles, establishing its role as a true multi-mission combatant.
With a top speed of 42 knots, the ship is capable of swiftly intercepting fast submarines and high-speed intruders, allowing for rapid threat elimination.
The AF/AAMG-35 has earned the nickname "Wall Knocker" among pirates. This fearsome name comes from the sound of its Hi-VT (High-performance Variable Time fused) rounds, which detonate just before hitting the target. The resulting fragmentation doesn't penetrate the hull but instead strikes it like a metal storm, producing a thunderous, ominous noise that resembles a violent knock on steel walls — a terrifying prelude to destruction.
