Type 4 Samurai IFV

The Type 4 Samurai is a tracked, 25-ton modular fighting vehicle and the second in a line of vehicles being designed to serve the Japanese Army and Marine Corps well into the future.
It carries the same remotely operated turret and the same 750 hp turbo diesel engine as the Katana 8x8 IFV.
As with the Katana the chassis is designed to accomodate a large variety of systems to include an ambulance, mortar carrier, anti-tank, ARV, recon, command, and armored engineering vehicle.

The Samurai IFV will form the backbone of mechanized Inf. Battalions in our armored and mechanized divisions with Katana variants and a yet to be disclosed heavy IFV forming battalions such as recon or breakthrough, urban mounted ops, etc... as needed or operating independantly as in light highly mobile formations in the case of the Katana.

-AK-42 30mm cannon w/320HE & 180 AP, 7.62mm co-ax, and 4x Kissaki-EM ATGM's able to engage armor and low flying helicopters out to a range of 10 km.

- Classified welded aluminum and ceramic armor package
-Dou IV ERA (explosive reactive armor)
-DROIDZ ADS (active defense system)
*Crew: 3 (commander, gunner,driver) w/ 7 passengers.
*Engine:
-750 hp Turbo diesel
