J.005 AFV

Omega thanks to Mr.Vaultech for doing the turret

Description

The J.005 is intended to have a versatile hull, soon to be used for tank destroyers, IFVs, Medevacs, Amphibious assault and a few more. Both me and MrVaultech (I'm gonna call them staffel from now on, it's their discord name) poured a whole bunch of effort into the build and are both happy how it turned out.

Commonly asked questions and pointed out

Why are the wheels so thin?

Making them thicker would offer an advantage over traction and make the hull more stable. However, the wheels as "thin" as they are are already poking out the side. Crashing into other vehicles while parking it will not be fun

What's an AFV?

An AFV is an armoured fighting vehicle, meaning it can fight armour and with HE rounds can be an IFV, though officially an IFV has to be able carry troops into battle and provide supportive fire, which this doesn't carry soldiers (unless on the outside.)

Armament

1x50mm Auto cannon (0.4 sec reload)
3xATGM (Press AG 6 to arm)
RCWS (Press AG 7 to arm, recommended to de-activate AG 8)

Controls

Throttle to go backward and forward
A and D to turn left and right
AG 2 to turn on lights
AG 3 to turn on hazard lights
AG 6 to arm ATGM's
AG 7 to arm RCWS
AG 8 to deactivate turret rotation
VTOL to turn turret left and right
Trim to elevate and depress gun (+45* -15*)

You could always increase the depth of the wheel wells instead of having the wheels stick out beyond the hull.

It looks pretty good but I think some changes would have made it better. The CoM is a bit high up so it tips over when turning at around 30mph. The thin wheels (I know you addressed it) don’t feel right on this one. Thicker wheels gives it a lot more weight spread out over a larger contact area with the group, this making it less likely to get stuck and giving it more traction for navigating tricky terrain. Despite this though the overall design looks cool and the thin wheels would work alright in the limited role of urban combat

Nice hull. Turret could use work.

I think the Stallion turret would look more appropriate.
