THIS IS MY ENTRY TO @MrCarrot's WWII CHALLENGE

WIKI

The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier-based fighter aircraft that was primarily used in World War II and the Korean War. Demand for the model outstripped the Vought company's ability to manufacture it, causing many units to be produced by the Goodyear and Brewster factories. The total number of aircraft manufactured reached 12,571, spanning the longest production period of a piston fighter in the United States (1942-1953)
