Hello All!
This is my Kenworth K100 equipped with a Holmes 750 Wrecker. It is by far my most ambitious project yet! The truck features a fully functioning wrecker body equipped with working landing gear, winches, extendable and rotatable booms, a retractable tow hitch, rotating beacons, deck lights, and exterior controls. The truck itself features a fully modeled suspension system front and back with the front being a beam axle with working leaf springs and steering linkage while the rear features a fully functional walking beam tandem axle suspension system complete with working leaf springs and drive shafts. The cab tilts over to reveal a fully modeled Detroit Diesel 12V71 engine that has been fully plumbed for maximum realism and topped off with a working flap-cap exhaust and animated cooling fan. The truck also features flexible antennas, dynamic mudflaps, and cockpit with working steering wheel, pedals, shifter, and turn signal stock. The cherry on top is the "Stubby's Towing" livery which is a callback to my Dodge L700 Wrecker.
CONTROLS:
Pitch and Roll to drive.
Landing Gear does what it says.
Act 1 and 2 toggles the turn signals.
Act 3 toggles the deck lights and reverse lights.
Act 4 toggles the rotating beacons.
Act 5 toggles the boom magnets.
Act 6 toggles the tow hitch magnets.
Act 7 swivels booms to the side.
Act 8 toggles the running lights.
Throttle extends the booms.
TRIM up raises the booms.
TRIM down retracts the tow hitch for easier transport.
VTOL extends and retracts the boom winches.
Click the handles on the front of the cab to tilt it over.
HOW TO TOW:
Spawn a disabled truck as an AI or place vehicle behind wrecker in builder.
Reverse truck to the vehicle you intend to tow.
To prevent vehicle from rolling away, with the tow hitch in it's lowered position, activate the tow hitch magnets (AG6) and back truck into towed vehicle.
Deploy landing gear (LandingGear) to keep the vehicle still.
Extend booms (Throttle) so that the boom magnets are over the hood or rear frame of the towed vehicle.
Lower boom magnets (VTOL) and attach (AG5).
Deactivate tow hitch magnets (AG6), extend booms slightly further (Throttle) and retract boom magnets (VTOL) then raise boom arms (TRIM) until the towed vehicle's bumper or frame is above tow hitch.
Retract booms (Throttle) until end of towed vehicle's bumper or frame hovers over end of tow hitch.
Lower towed vehicle's bumper or frame onto end of tow hitch either by lowing booms (TRIM) or by lowering boom magnets (VTOL) then activate tow hitch magnets (AG6) and deactivate boom magnets (AG5)
Retract landing gear (LandingGear) and you're good to go!
FOR TOWED VEHICLE:
Wrecker truck with PapaKernel's Peterbilt 389 already behind it. Use this one for best FPS.
