Compared to the B1 model, it moderately increased the volume of the composite armor on the front of the turret and the gun mantlet, altered the turret shape, improved the sighting equipment, thickened the volume of the composite armor located directly behind the sighting equipment, fixed armor vulnerabilities in the sighting area, and slightly increased engine power to accommodate the heavier vehicle weight.
