Formula SP-Vee Gen 2

After months of lazyness, hyperfixations and lack of attention, it's finally here!

Original Teaser

I've made the original Formula SP-Vee over 3 and a half years ago, and to this day, it's my most downloaded and second most upvoted in my entire ~6.5 year SP career.
But safe to say, my skills since then improved a lot, even with my drastic hiatus since... i don't even know anymore...
HOWEVER, i managed to get the energy to finish and make it's probably one of the best vehicles i've ever made aesthetically and in handling, at least when it comes to being more of a simcade style of car.

This car is designed after semi-modern Formula Vee cars, cheap, entry level grassroots race cars that originated from parts of VW Beetles and built around steel chassis and bodywork. Modern cars feature light aluminum tube frames with fiberglass bodywork, making them light and nimble, but their weak, production engines (in Brazil, for example, they are 1.6L VW Fox engines with changes to the fuel injection system, making it electronic and adjustable) and tyres similar to road going all-weather radials, make them tricky to drive at speed and to hold onto said speed.

Stylistically, this car takes cues from modern brazilian Formula Super Vee, SCCA Formula Vee and the FVee cars featured in Stock Car Extreme and Automobilista 1, with some original design features i cooked up and a simple but nice livery i think. Interior is fully functional and i believe it is VR ready! Adding onto this, front suspension is meant to resemble the type of suspension in the real cars (in a way that will reliably work in game, mind you), steering is half done by pistons and have done by the wheels themselves, and for fun, i made the car feature a Flat 4 style engine, with a radiator beneath the rear shroud for fun, with those trumpets on the side being like air intakes, i think it looks neat.

This car is fairly simple to drive in game, but also somewhat tricky, since i made the rear loose, as that how these cars are in the sims i drive them in (Stock Car Extreme and Automobilista 1), but i toned that down as much as i could while still keeping it challenging for someone that plays only on keyboard or isn't too familiar with driving cars with little to no downforce, for example. However if you push too far on your changes of direction or correction, you could spin out.
Depending on the track, you will need to brake, and this car's brakes while good, albeit a little unrealistic for their real life performance, are not that strong overrall, so get used to it, do a couple laps slowly if you wanna take it for a spin in a track you like.
Front suspension is softer and has more travel than the rear to simulated how i set up these cars in sims, since i need the rear stiff to balance out the weight of the engine, fuel and fuel tank, and gearbox. Top speed is around 217kmh.
This car does rely on the Elliptical Grip Model mod but can be driven without it, though i haven't tested how well it drives without it.

Controls
Pitch = Throttle and Reverse (Forward lever, pull back for reverse);
Roll = Steering (Steering Wheel cylinder grips);
Brake = Brakes (Rear lever, pull back);
AG1 = Rain Light (LIGHT Switch);
AG8 = Engine On/Off (IGNITION Switch

Steering wheel steering lock is 135 degrees either side (270 total).

    All screenshots are permament now! No more posts losing their images cause of Discord!
    Also have a new thumbnail style now, done with GIMP instead of IbisPaint, easier to make and read.

    @hpgbproductions I can't really record with my PC, would be a stuttery mess, but at least in relation to the sims i used as reference for the handling, these kinds of cars are quite unstable at the rear, the tyres aren't competition slicks and there is way more weight at the rear then at the front, plus rear camber is way higher (also shown in game). I cant compare to real life tho unfortunately.
    And yeah i use GIMP kinda often, i make liveries for rF1 league racing there.
    Thanks btw!

    Looks great and has nice suspension, however it seems to be yaw-unstable for me. I might suggest that you show off driving it?
    Also gimp enjoyer spotted
