HISTORY

The DD100 series is a class of Mallet type steam locomotive with 0-8-8-0 wheel arrangement. The steam locomotive is one of the largest steam locomotive in the Cinian Islands. The need for such locomotive was for traversing the large mountains in the central Asa Island, this also give the articulated frame locomotive a huge advantage over the rigid framed steam locomotive in the arsenal. A common complaint among the crew was bad vibration.

By the turn of the millennia only 3 locomotives (01: Petruk, 07: Kresna, and 11: Sadewa) are in a remotely operable condition due to poor maintenance. unit number 01. Petruk was rescued and used for historical excursion by the Cinian Railway Heritage Railways, number 07 Kresna cannibalized for parts and number 11 Sadewa used for static display.

Petruk is the name of a Wayang Character well known for his long nose.

Hello everyone, im back, as a Railfan, yeah. So today i made this train because i have seen a British documentary about Indonesian steam locomotives. One locomotive that struck me was the DD52 class, the very locomotive this build is based from. However, i took a few liberties to change up the design. The DD52 is a 2-8-8-0 while this one is an 0-8-8-0 locomotive and with the story that all DD52 locomotive is scrapped while this one had one preserved (wishful thinking on my behalf ngl). Maybe there will be more trains along the way idk tbh. There is also another diesel train in the works, im not sure if its finished or needs a few more tweaks.
