XSF P-3 Blackhound

403 JunkyardLeader  6.0 years ago

The P-3 had a rocky start in development due to the engine of choice being underpowered, but that was fixed by engineers and mechanics on the project. Test flights revealed that gunning the throttle on takeoff would result in the nose dipping down and striking the runway. This issue is still within the aircraft, so take off with gradual throttle increases. The Blackhound is armed with three heavy machine guns.
It's performance is fairly good, with moderate speed (can go faster than 300 M.P.H. @ 100% throttle), but excellent maneuverablity. Yanking too hard on the stick may result in pancaking the aircraft. AG 1 for engine ignition.
