Designed in 1960 as a hypothetical replacement to the Aerostyle Aviation Model 606A, the Grumman XF-88 Thundercat was to fill the same role; A light, heavily-armed ground-attack aircraft. The Thundercat was armed with two hard-points under the wings and could be fitted with additional attachments under the fuselage. It could support either another drop-tank, nine 250 pound bombs, an electronics-warfare pod, or a camera suite for reconnaissance missions. It was also armed with four 20mm cannons in the nose. Later variants, such as the F-88D, sat a crew of two, and the F-88E, which sat a crew of three. All variants were also used in the Air National Guard of several states, including Illinois, Arkansas, and Iowa. In 1962, the Navy took an interest in the design and work began on the XF-88A Thunderdemon, which would later develop into the operational F-88B and C variants. There are currently three USAF F-88s still flying, with one being stored at the Aerostyle Military Archives facility.

@RedRoosterII I can and I'm doing a more detailed version soon. It'll have custom control surfaces as well.

Finals week, still building planes and wasting time? Sounds a lot like what I'm doing at this very moment
