XF-85 Goblin

Had the XF-85 ever gone into production, the best that could have been hoped was that MiG pilots would have died laughing.

The XF-85 was the United States’ attempt to solve a problem. Their new B-36 Peacekeepers needed escorts, but it wasn’t easy to send a fighter from the US to the USSR, so the solution was a parasite fighter. It flew well, but it was inferior compared to other jets, and docking into the mothership took extensive training, so it was decommissioned.

Takeoff

Taking off is easy, just start the engine and once you reach 200 mph or 321 kph you are free to take off, just press Landing Gear

Landing

Landing isn’t as easy. The way to land is to stay completely level, and make a slow descend. If you land incorrectly the plane will flip.

Controls

100% Throttle for afterburner
Ag1: trapeze hook
Ag2: Open Cockpit
Ag3: Fold wings
