Background

The CFK-22 Nezumi is a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle operated by the People’s Neorasian Army. It was developed in the early stages of the Fourth Neo Civil War by Chemnitzer Fahrzeugbau Konzern (CFK), the same manufacturer responsible for the CFK-11 Miyazaki.

Development of the CFK-22 began in late 2027, following a formal request from the People’s Neorasian Army for a dedicated MRAP platform. CFK was again selected as the primary contractor for design and production. The vehicle is equipped with a 6-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and can be fitted with a variety of weapon systems, including light or heavy machine guns, anti-tank guided missiles, automatic grenade launchers, and recoilless rifles.

The CFK-22 Nezumi made its first confirmed combat appearance during the Siege of Valhalla, approximately 25 km south of Fort Charlie in northern Neorasia. During the engagement, one CFK-22 struck an IED planted by Mizuharan forces. Although the vehicle sustained severe damage, all occupants survived, suffering only minor injuries. Mizuharan troops were also occasionally observed operating captured CFK-22 units during the war.

By the end of the Fourth Neo Civil War, a total of 12,183 CFK-22 units had been produced by Chemnitzer Fahrzeugbau Konzern. Production continued in the postwar era, with the vehicle entering service with the Armed Forces of the Federation of Mizuhara as part of the Eclipse Circle modernization program.

In addition to Mizuhara, the CFK-22 Nezumi has been exported to allied nations, and several units were delivered to the Kingdom of Stjerneland as part of reparations for debts inherited by the Federation of Mizuhara from the former People’s Republic of Neorasia.
