Akina MK3 – Takitech Promo Car

This Akina MK3 – the new Takitech Promo Car was built out of necessity as much as ambition. The original Showroom car was destroyed during the California wildfires in 2025 while the vehicle was displayed in the Takitech USA garage. Rather than rebuilding the original car, we chose to start over, using the experience and data gathered from the first build to create a more refined, more aggressive successor.

The new promo Car was developed as both a replacement and an evolution, incorporating reinforced internals, a fully reworked nitrous setup, and improved chassis tuning.

The drivetrain is based on the factory K40 Turbo engine, upgraded with a reinforced crankshaft and forged pistons to safely withstand the sudden loads generated by Takitech’s proprietary nitrous system. Engine control and fine-tuning are handled by SGC2 engine management, ensuring stable, predictable power delivery even under nitrous use.

Key suspension and body components are also Takitech-developed. The widened bodywork, aerodynamic additions, and low ride height provide confident handling and stability at high speeds.
