How do you spell gorgyus

Description

The Mi-24 is a helicopter gunship made by the Soviet Union, also known by it's infamous nickname, the Hind. The Hind is developed and produced by the Mil Helicopter Plant in Moscow, and entered service with the Soviets in 1972, the Hind is a large helicopter intended to support ground operations from the air, it has a various complement of weapons and is capable carrying a small number of 8 troops on board. The helicopter is not only large but also fast, with it's two Isotov TV3-117 turboshaft engines with 2,200 shp each, the helicopter can go up to 335km/h with a max altitude of 4,900m to a range of 450km. The Hind is also pretty armored, with a titanium tub protecting it's cockpit as well as ballistic-resistant glass, it also has 6 hardpoints on it's wings that could carry 1,500kg of external stores, namely guns, rockets, and missiles. The Hind is operated by a crew of two, a pilot that controla the helicopter and a gunner/WSO that operates the helicopter's weapons systems, the Hind is currently in service with 58 countries.

The Mi-35 is an export version of the Mi-24, tailored for the needs of other countries that wish to operate the Hind, the P version of the Mi-35 replaces the chin mounted 12.7mm machine gun with a fixed side mounted 30mm GSh-30-2K autocannon, giving it more firepower to engage heavier targets. It also retains it's capability to carry various missile, rockets, bombs, and guns such as the S-8 rockets, UPK-23 gunpods, and the 9M120 Ataka missiles.

In this SimplePlanes version, well it's a replica of the Mi-35P operated by the Indonesian Ground Forces, it has a modeled cockpit, doors, livery, as well as it's weapon systems, like the 30mm cannons and the S-8K rocket pods. It is quite fast and agile and can also auto-hover, it's quite bad at it, but at least it works. It also has a passenger cabin with doors that also opens and closes, and a camera inside so you could admire crashing into the ground because you can't see where you're going.

And of course, the missiles

SACLOS player camera-controlled ATGM

There's so much about this missile that I can't put it on one paragraph so here's an entire section for it, but first off, credits to Matuoka443 for the ATGM guidance kit, I merely took the idea and just improved it a little, so thanks to Matuoka for making this kind of missile possible to begin with.

So basically here's how it works :

The control base's input is coded to a camera that follows its movement, the control base is then connected to a piston with insane range that 'propels' the missile forward, the piston is connected to a warhead that has a light attached to it, so the player can see where the missile is going.

However, with the original design the piston would remain attached to the helicopter which can literally bring down the helicopter with it, so to remedy it, I've added an detacher with a 5 sec delay to the control base, this will detach the missile so that it doesn't become a victim to it's own missile, so unfortunately, this restricts the ATGM's range to a whopping 500 meters.

I'll admit this design is massively inaccurate and is pretty difficult to control, however it works just like an actual SACLOS ATGM and that's all that matters, to compensate the horrid accuracy of the missile, I've made it so that the missile has a large explosion radius so that you don't have to hit the target directly to damage it.

Anywho, here's the

ATGM control guide

Go into hover mode by disabling cyclic and turning on AG1
activate ATGM camera by AG2 and use the cam
Fire ATGM and guide it by moving the camera

That's all about the ATGM, have fun! (hopefully)

AG1 : Hover mode
AG2 : Activate ATGM camera
AG3 : Jettison weapons
