P-65H

929 IssaIwan  6.3 years ago

A medium bomber that is a successor to the P-65B. Unlike all other P-65 variants, this is actually practical and a better fighter than its predecessor. On top of better durability, it also flies smoother and has a faster turn speed. This comes at the cost of more propulsive drag, however. Also, this plane is able to take a beating-though not too well. It's main protection is for the wings, in which it has three separate frames per wing portion. This protection is not seen at the tail, however. It also has a huge weakness, in which if one of the five fuselages is destroyed, the plane will lose complete control of its control surfaces and subsequently crash. The plane also has a tendency to explode on quick impact with water. The bombs are also exposed, but what's the chance they'll actually be hit? Now despite all these downsides, it is still a good fighter and medium bomber. The initial idea for this plane came from the P-65G's ability to endure extreme damage and stay in the air even if one half of the plane is destroyed. This trait isn't seen in the P-65H, but rather the opposite of the trait is-if one portion is destroyed the entire aircraft is doomed.
