Israel's Choice in Homeland Defense.
The F-19 Rakash is IAI’s license-built variant of Starcrest United’s SCF-68i Enhanced Ranger, developed to replace the F-15I Ra’am as Israel’s frontline multirole air-superiority/strike fighter. Designed in 2017 and entering service in 2021, the Rakash pairs a rugged, export-ready airframe with full local integration—IAI handled mission systems, weapons integration, and sustainment so Israel retains sovereign control over its combat stack.
Operationally flexible, the Rakash can field a vast mix of Israeli, American, and Starcrest ordnance: Popeye, Rampage, I-Derby ER, Python-3/4/5, AIM-9X / AIM-120 / AIM-132, and a wide strike loadout including Mk-82 Snakeye, JDAMs, and Starcrest stores such as GASSAM 9M/9X, MEGA GASSAM Mk.2, Slash 75/125, SUGO M1/L1, and the SGB-20/21/25 “Buster” guided bombs. It also integrates Starcrest’s SCATRAM NEO AAMs and the highly versatile HIBRYD-4 multirole missile—designed for cross-domain launch (land/air/sea/space) and prosecution of targets across domains. The Rakash’s combination of sovereign integration, broad weapons compatibility, and multirole design makes it a natural successor to the Ra’am in both air-dominance and strike roles.
