As the military wanted to allocate the resource efficiently, the "Hi-Lo mix" fighter is introduced. The "hi" fighter (higher top speed, long-range, more capable) role is fulfilled by Warbird - 2S Blackjade (Air Force) and Harfark Blue Mako (Navy). The "Lo" fighter is needed

Introducing Harfark GreyHound codename 'Icarus' is supersonic, twin-engine, single-seat, variable-sweep wing fighter-bomber aircraft intended to fill the role of "lo" fighter for both air force and navy. It is a complete modernization of old Harfark Golgota, a navy bomber.
