Hay can you re-send me a link to your latest version of my (F-36 Thorny Devil? I can now fly it on one of my family’s computers. @JohnnyBoythePilot

That is fine with me if you would like to continue in the build (if you want Rainier to help you build it, that is also ok). You don't have to get my permission to upgrade or modify my jets/planes (in fact if you have a idea for modifying a plane of mine please do) all I ask is that you link the plane to me so that I can see all the cool stuff you did.
I hope you do still continue to work on the Thorny Devil and enter it into the challenge, I wish you good luck, Godspeed, and hope you win.
I still want to, and hope to make a co-build with you sometime in the near future. @JohnnyBoythePilot

You don't have to give me the F-36B you were working on, the F-36A will do just fine as it's already complete and it's the right scale/size. If you still want, I can also submit it into the 6th gen competition.

Ah that sucks man, but no problem! You don't have to cancel the project, but if you still are, can Rainier take it over? I really like the F-36A, and I want to upgrade it with a full cockpit, functioning weapons bay, and overall better detail. Basically I want to further develop the design. It will still retain the original designation & name and I'll of course credit you.

Ok I am super busy this week/month, and I guess I bit off more then I could chew, so I am sorry but I will not be able to finish or continue in this build :-(
But thank you for helping with what you have helped with :-) @JohnnyBoythePilot

By basic airframe, I mean literally make the basic airplane (fuselage, wings, tail, etc.). When you make the wings, don't add any panels to them. Just leave the wings as bare-stock SP wings. I think I'll be able to make more realistic looking wings.

So mainly do the fuselage and basic wings & tail fins.

Then do you only need the plane with its fuselage, and you will make the wings?
And the iPad does not mod, it juet can handle mods, but if there is a modded peace in SP it can make something out of it from there :-) :-)
I am making a more simple version of the F-36B with internal bays instead of starting from scratch. @JohnnyBoythePilot

It's got nothing to do with the actual flight dynamics. It's purely "eye candy" but it makes the plane look so much more realistic.

Detailed flight controls are basically using rotators and & fuselage pieces to make a wing more realistic. Look at Hyperloop's fighters for an example.

Really??? How? I hear iOS doesn't allow mods.

Oh also my iPad is able to use mods, so don't worry about that :-) :-) @JohnnyBoythePilot

That cockpit looks beautiful, that will be an awesome addition to the F-36B. And I am sorry but I can not scale it down to a reasonable size, but I will finish the main body and wings and send you a link.
You said you wanted to give the F-36 "detailed wing flight controls" what is that exactly? Could you send me a drawing or link me to a plane that demonstrates/has that?

And yes I will make a mod-free version since your on iOS. (since SLIM uses Gestour's instrumentation mod.)

Also, I already got the cockpit covered. The cockpit is going to be very simple, and will take inspiration from one of my recent projects, where I developed a new cockpit I like to call "SLIM" (Secure Link Interface Module). It's an advanced ground-based cockpit designed to fly the QF-65 unmanned fighter using augmented reality (in concept, not really possible in SP) and cameras on the QF-65 airframe. The F-36 won't feature the exact features of the SLIM cockpit, but the design & style of the SLIM cockpit (comfort, simple, but lots of information being displayed) will be implemented on the F-36B. Don't worry about making room for the SLIM cockpit, just do the airframe and I'll do that once your finished with your part.

Also the camouflage is going to be one of the last things I do on the plane.

I'd actually prefer if you complete the basic airframe first, while I add the details afterwords, like the cockpit, landing gear, detailed wing flight controls, weapons bay, etc.. (Hope your fine with that)

Yea I'd greatly preferred if you scaled it down to the size of your current Thorny devil, before I start on it. The lines and shaping is very smooth, and looks very sharp, but it just needs to be a little smaller.

You can also start making that camouflage you where talking about, and it also needs the landing gear, and its landing gear door/doors too.
I know the start is huge, bet it can be scaled right? @JohnnyBoythePilot @JohnnyBoythePilot

Hay here is your start for the cockpit. Oh if you could look up some 5th/6th gen fighter and strike aircraft and copy/mix up ideas from the pictures you can find on the internet, some examples of 5th gen aircraft would be the F-22, F-35, J-20, J-31, and SU-57 :-) :-) @JohnnyBoythePilot

I am making the front part of the plane right now so that you can start on the cockpit, oh when you make the cockpit (the more simple it is the more realistic it will be), for most of your modern day fighter/strike aircraft are all tuch screens, face ID, voice controlled extra. :-) :-) @JohnnyBoythePilot

Ok, sounds good. You can make the base airframe and I'll add more detail to it. I don't plan on making my Viper concept, I have a cooler concept in mind I would like to do (if I find time to build it). It's sort of along the lines of a single-engine YF-23, and looks kinda like a manned version of my QF-65, except the intake is at the bottom.

The camp sounds awesome, and I would want it to be a land based fighter, internal bays would be awesome, and I don't know if you read the rules but actually the Thorny Devil is too maneuverable, and the rules also say it needs to have a max speed of ruffly 2500 mph so interesting the thrust is needed :-)
I think it would be fine to add on to this build but maybe latter (if you want to) I would like to make a new Thorny Devil from scratch. Oh one last thing, there is a limit of three entries in the challenge so we can make both your design and mine (if you would like that. @JohnnyBoythePilot

I know I'm talking a lot (lol) but I also want to add a really crazy camouflage pattern onto it, inspired off the real Thorny Devil's color/camo pattern
