F.T.R.C. 185 strike aircraft

12.4k TemporaryReplacement  1.3 years ago

History

The F.T.R.C. 185, nicknamed “worker” (sometimes called “hard worker”) due to its long and successful service life, was a sweep wing, medium range strike fighter designed during the early 1980s due to the need for a fast and maneuverable aircraft capable of attacking different ground targets. It was known for its ability to carry large payloads, and for the fact that once said payload was dropped, it could act as an effective fighter, at the very least being able to hold its own against other, more maneuverable aircraft. It played an important role in the [Insert cool fictional war name here] wars, and only 7 F.T.R.C. 185’s were lost during the 3 year period, to the 12 air kills scored by the aircraft, and hundreds of ground kills. From 1984 to 2005, around 1322 of these aircraft were made, with many improvements being added with each new model. Specifically, the disadvantage of not having a refuel probe, limiting range.

Notes

-probably my favorite build yet (I’ve said this a lot)

-lots of new things for me came with this build including more custom weapons, a slightly better flight model, 3 screenshots for thumbnails, etc.

-didn’t focus a lot on the cockpit this time, as I didn’t want to increase the part count by 100 again

-the bombs fly around a tiny bit while doing hard maneuvers, but they don’t break anything thankfully. (Too lazy to fix this)

-it gains/maintains speed while pointing up 90 degrees. Idk how to fix this either, but I think it involves more ft stuff lol

-that’s it I guess

Enjoy!
