current version : 1.3.1
Be sure to read the instructions before using the product.
By exploiting the variable function and text labels, it is possible to create a HUD with a certain level of functionality using only one part.
---How to use---
Place this HUD (TextLabel) directly in front of the view point (camera or cockpit), and copy the variables TGTPOS_Local_X
, TGTPOS_Local_Y
, and TGTPOS_Local_Z
from this build, and set the newly defined variable HudDistance
to an appropriate value.
If you don't know about variables, plrase read back the SP1.11 release notes
Caution, changing the height or width of the label is not recommended as it may cause the drawing to collapse.
---Variables list---
- HudDistance
This is used to properly position the TD BOX and other displays.
Enter the distance between the HUD and the view point.
If you have changed the scale of the HUD
distance/scale
.
Probably won't be using it, but You can also make the distance variable.
- TGTPOSLocal(X/Y/Z)
The relative coordinates of the player and the target.
Local is so named because the coordinate system follows the local coordinate system based on the player's direction.
Basically, you don't need to change anything, just copy and paste what is stored in this build.
---Display contents---
I'm not familiar with the terminology, so sorry if I'm wrong.
You do not need permission to use it in your work.
Also, a credit will make the author happy, but is not required.

Please read the explanation once before asking a question. Writing the same reply over and over is very tiring
I still do not understand, could you take a screen shot of the variable list so i can copy it, the instructions of the variables are unclear.
Damn 2 years ago
I dont understand where the variables need to be specified, it unclear from the post and i cant find anything in the changelog
@PlanariaLab
I'm sure you're busy with a really cool project right now, but if you could, would you make an F-14A/B style HUD for me? I would greatly appreciate it if you could. And OF COURSE I would credit you in my build.
Extra Legendary 10/10
@192WWO @192WWO save as a sub-assembly
How do I save it?
@MrSilverWolf ok sorry
@A10 please don’t mass ping people who weren’t requesting tags
Conceptually
I remember when this came out, lol when SPVR came out I was like id remember a Glass Part, I only found out after 1 month that a update came out when the 2nd part of VR came out and I was like ok this is a update. Then this came out and that was great.
#Old SP Nostalgia
@Commander9013 you are copying the variables wrong, in my case when I selected all the text it didn't copy all the text, i don't know why but then I copyed all the text bybmanually selecting it and then it worked for me
Thank you my man, you saved me, I didn't knew I needed those variables which is why my huds have been weird, so embarrassing but no more, will give you credit!
What does it say variable error stack empty?
@Kklol good at meth tho
@Thelegitpilot13 i gotchu
clicky clicky
@PlanariaLab Would it be possible for you to make a lead indicator too? I have a challenge up. Anyone else who reads this feel free to join in.

@Kklol lol... Although it is simple SP does the calculations you just need to know the coding language.. Which I know nothing of, lol
@Walvis nah bro I'm bad at math
@QuesoAirlines This method does not work, and it will cause errors in some variables after modification.
How can I show the actual height from the ground separately instead of the altitude?
anyone can explain how entire text rotates here?
I did the distance/scale thing to try and fix it but the td box just doesn't align with the target. What do I do?
@linxiaofeng2339 you can go in the code and change the second "NW" to "SW'. Should be on the 20th line for the 1.3.1 version.
