P-59 Tigershark

4,880 JB56  6.0 years ago
Auto Credit Based on JB56's f-42 Valkyrie

The P-59 Tigershark is the pinnacle of piston powered flight, being one of the last propeller powered fighters made. Designed to be operated from carriers, the aircrafts takeoff and low speed performance is very plesant. Her high end performance is also top shelf, being able to out turn and out accelerate other top end fighters like the P-50L Mako. The engine is a 2000HP supercharged twin row radial engine driving a quad bladed auto pitch paddle prop. for the bite of this shark she has 6 .50cal machine guns all loaded with APIT (armor piercing incindary tracer) rounds. Landing gear is custom but activates on the regualr landing gear hotkey, so no special activation group is needed. The plane is based around the design of the Grumman F8F bearcat. I did not look at any measurments of the bearcat for this build, so im not comfortable calling it a model of the bearcat, thus the different name. The cockpit is also has been detailed instead of using a cockpit block. enjoy.
