The BB-012 Tarpley was the first of her kind, featuring high speed, heavy armor, and an all-big gun layout she revolutionized the waves surpassing almost every ship before her. Laid down in 1910 and commissioned in 1914, her upbringing was riddled with political and economical hardships with many claiming her existence was unnecessarily overkill and only served to further increase tensions with surrounding states.

But when tensions rapidly escalated with the Northern Kingdom of Wright, many of the former naysayers lobbied for her to be put higher on the funding priority list, as the Kerzian Republic had failed to meet contemporary navy's numbers in terms of heavier craft such as Battleships and Armored cruisers.
