The XF-2 is a fictional high-alpha-capable jet fighter. Meaning that it will happily fly at an angle of attack greater than 50 degrees. To make this possible and to improve the response to stick inputs it is designed to be aerodynamically unstable. So it will fall out of the air like a leaf if you turn off the flight control system.
