The yf-23 was suppst to replace the f-15 strike eagle. But sadly the f-22 was chosen over the yf-23. This is still a hella cool plane tho... AG 7 for back up flares and chaf. ( not needed tho bc can outrun any missel )

No problem! The YF-23 is certainly an amazing machine and an incredible peace of engineering, not to mention it was way ahead of it's time. Here is an awesome documentary on the YF-23 Black Widow II.

Anyone who builds a YF-23 on SP will get an upvote + spotlight from me because the YF-23 is one of the sexiest planes to ever grace the skies and it's sad it wasn't chosen. I hope Japan gets some hybrid of it from Northrop Grumman for their F-3 Fighter Program.
