Fictional History
The FW Piii was originally an enlarged version of a prototype jet fighter developed towards the end of World War II, but it had some problems with its use as an attack aircraft, such as its small payload and limited range, so the A-X Turbo Striker was developed as a more serious attack aircraft, and it was planned to be retired to replace it, but the Turbo Striker was a single-engine turboprop attack aircraft that far exceeded the Piii in most aspects, such as payload and range, but the Piii was far superior in speed and maneuverability. Initially, the Turbo Striker's low speed and maneuverability were not considered a problem, but claims began to be made that it had low survivability, so a jet Striker with higher speed, higher payload capacity and range was developed, and the A-3, a modernized P.III, was developed as a stopgap until then.
