Auto Credit Based on Gmanndo1000's A-4 Buffalo Mk 2
The Mark VN is the naval variant of the A-4 Buffalo. It features the new wings, tail and engine of the Mark IV, but it's wings fold up, which allow it to be stored in a considerably smaller space. It carries a good amount of weapons and features an extra two guns in the wings, which improve it's strafing ability. It has excellent range for a carrier based aircraft, which is a problem, as the Newhallian Federation lacks carrier based fighers with enough range to escort it to and from it's target.

Yeah, your plane has a VERY low wing loading. The Pummeler was originally a fighter. And a good 600lbs lighter (I added an extra 600lbs in order to simulate the additional armor the aircraft received when turned into an attacker). It was designed to fulfill the role of interceptor and escort while only using a single engine. As a result, it was given a tremendously powerful turbocharged T2000 radial and plenty of fuel.
Armament consisted of 8 12.7mm heavy machine guns, in order to provide a weapon system that fires quickly enough to be useful against fighters yet hits hard enough to be useful against bombers.
The heavy aircraft proved a stable and durable gun platform, but a reluctant dogfighter. Against the sleek Athena, it was no match in a dogfight. However, pilots soon learned to use their powerful engines, durability, and stability to their advantage by engaging in boom and zoom tactics. The high wing loading, once considered a disadvantage, was soon an asset that allowed the Pummeler to dive effectively without suffering from turbulence. @Thej611

I should run some comparative tests just to see. @Gmanndo1000 Which side should I enter on? I can't decide. On the one hand, I agree with Pilotmario's ideals. But on the other hand, I kinda like the idea of being the bad guy.
