SimplePlanes Mobile Railway | Train Bogie

48.0k RepublicOfCursedPlanes  3 months ago

Reposted this because the previous version had an extremely low mass, meaning that trains with these bogies would shake violently and derail.

This has a regular mass, and I've managed to install it on realSavageMan's CRH380B, so this definitely works.

A pre-built train bogie that's been tested extensively with SPMR. Feel free to use it in your builds (no credit required, but much appreciated)!

Credits to realSavageMan and 1714 for the original bogie.

Notes for Train Builders

Why publish this bogie, when SPMR is compatible with all SPR train bogies?

Well, although the above is true, trains meant to run on SPMR have to undergo a minor modification, as shown below:

This particular train bogie has already been tested on SPMR extensively, and as such aircraft collisions on the correct parts have already been disabled.
It's also for people who don't know how to build train bogies (like me) and just want a free-to-use bogie to make life much easier.

How to Use

  1. Grab the fuselage piece at the top, and drag the entire bogie away from the flight computer. The fuselage makes it easier for you to attach the bogie onto your train.
  2. Save the bogie to subassemblies.
  3. Done! You can place it on your trains now. Once the bogie's attached, change the height of the fuselage piece to 0.5.

I've nothing else to say, so happy building!
