Rambo Jutter Pumba GR1 2.9

Auto Credit Based on mikoyanster's Naval Attack Challenge

The American Navy decided they needed an aircraft to fullfill a similar role as the USAF A-10, they turned to RamboJutter Ltd for an aircraft to fullfill their requirements (ever changing and evolving into something more than was originally conceived).

The Pumba (yes i thought this was funny to have a Lion King reference) evolved into a 2 seat navalised (wings fold, arrestor hook etc) ground attack aircraft.

AG1 for re-heat, Ag2 for flaps, AG3 for arrestor hook, AG4 to activate the minigun, AG5 for lights, AG7 for folding wings. Note this aircraft doesnt need the catapult to take off and will suffer serious problems if you use it (engines push nose down which then explodes).

Designed in the 1980s the aircraft saw service in numerous theatres and due to its ease of maintenance (engines located in easily accesible pods on the side of the fueslage etc.) and reliability it served well past its designed life.

The aircraft depicted here is in a tribute scheme based on ealy USAAF aircraft (hopefully i got this right this time ChiChi)

I really love this design. You've inspired me to have a go at my own modern light fighter, which I intend to have a similar cockpit shape and engine arrangement.

    Ahhhh... The Lion King.
One of the greatest movies of all time, with a nearly equally as good remake, and it is still part of world culture, 25 years after the release.

@RamboJutter You should build a Douglas F4d1 skyray or something like it, it seems like your style

@AsianKid I've found that attaching the catapult connector to anything that uses rotators causes the failure of that part when throttle is applied, fixing the connector directly to the fuselage is the only solution and that's not practical due to the height difference between wheel and bottom of fus. Thanks though

To address the unscheduled disassembly of the plane when using the catapult on the carrier, attach a catapult connector to the front landing gear and set the acceleration rate to 10%. The plane shouldn't explode anymore when using the catapult.

Really nice bird! A bit too thick for my taste but the top-view profile hits all the right spots. Really smooth bird, I love it!
