History

The KRI Yosaphat Sudarso is a frigate project between PT PAL Indonesia and Damen Naval in Holland. Projected to be the successor to the Martadinata Class frigates in 2016, armed with 12 anti ship missiles, an unplanned number of ground attack missiles, anti air missiles, and completed with a 76mm OTO Super Rapid cannon. However plans to further develop the ship stopped with the Covid outbreak, and economic recession, forcing PT PAL Indonesia to instead choose the Type 31 frigates as their next successor.

Hello everyone, it is i Nitsu again. Bored of seeing me ?? Me too. I made this ship in rememberance to the Battle of Arafura Sea, where a group of 3 MTBs are sent out in the middle of the night and gets attacked by the Dutch Destroyers Evertsen, Kortenaer, and Ultrecht. All 3 MTBs sunk, taking Sudarso and some 30 more with them. Yos Sudarso remained a national hero in Indonesia.

Now there's something i want to tell you guys, and its a conspiracy. Yes yes, ignore this paragraph and just move on to the next if you don't like conspiracy, okay ?? Capiche ??. Good. Now its odd that some Indonesian national heroes are not displayed in their full names, all these just so happen to be catholics and christians, why is that? Some had speculated that this is to make them sound more muslim like. Captain Pattimura, Slamet Riyadi, and Yos Sudarso are remembered by those names, when in reality, their full names display their baptized names. Now the Van Speijk Class frigate KRI Yos Sudarso, is also a shortened name. So obviously i speculated this post would stir quite a bit of controversy. But yes, this is infact his full name.

Anyways, conspiracy out of the way. I really hope you enjoyed this post, it surely made me emotional everytime i write this because i had finished a ship. Now my scores for my semester is coming out in the next week or two and im hoping i can secure a good score but i remain skeptical.
