Description

The Bandit Motors Danube is a family of heavy off-road trucks developed and manufactured by Bandit Defense, a subsidiary of Bandit Motors. Intended to replace a variety of heavy trucks previously operated by the Paternian Armed Forces, it saw widespread commercial, government, and even recreational and sport use. The base chassis is officially classified as the M2200 Heavy Army Tactical Truck System, though different variants have their own classifications.

Powered by a Bandit V-10 500-hp turbocharged diesel engine, they were well-regarded for their reliability and durability in combat conditions thanks to its sound mechanical properties and high-strength steel chassis. The 4-axle Standard Independent Truck Suspension and electric dual-clutch transmission improved reliability, maintenance, and off-road performance while making it easier to drive. An "Enhanced Performance" variant with heavier frame and 5-axle drive is available for even heavier truck requirements.

Trucks such as the Danube were essential to Paternian military operations, and the ability to resupply friendly forces with speed and efficiency was critical to sustaining combat forces. In addition to cargo duties, it was the platform for both specialized support vehicles and heavy gun, rocket, and missile systems. Over 40,000 Danube trucks of all variants were made, and serve in the militaries of Paternia, Awwam, and Winolia.

This particular vehicle is equipped with the Hook-Lift Pallet System. The HLPS is capable of lifting both standardized pallets as well as ISO-standard 20-foot containers. This enabled the rapid resupply of Paternian forces in the field, enabling them to easily maintain defensive positions and launch offensive actions.
