AMC "Spiderling" Deployable Turret Drone

106k hpgbproductions  6.9 years ago

SCALE 2:1, MASS-SCALE 8:1
[ ! ] DO NOT actually change the mass of this creation! System will implode on use.

The Spiderling is a light robotic system that can be deployed on pretty much anywhere on ground. Once deployed, it fires rockets at the enemy, providing short-range support. It is typically deployed at or near important objectives, strategic locations, and choke points.

It has been designed to be as compact as possible when carrying around. When deployed, it stretches its legs and raises the weapon.

The system consists of a core block, containing most of the electronics, a weapon, and four foldable struts.

The rocket launcher is not part of the chassis and can be swapped for other weapons to specialize in different conditions.

--- USER MANUAL ---

CONTROLS:
LandingGear - Toggle Transport / Combat Mode
VTOL - Rotate Weapon
Trim - Pitch Weapon
AG8 - Lights

[ ! ] It seems that weapons become inactive if separated from the main vehicle. This means that you cannot use the rocket launcher once the system is detached.

For Your Enjoyment:
Use with a friend. One player spawns in this, the other in a carrier vehicle.

( i ) The machine mysteriously rotates 0-2 degrees to the right each time it enters combat mode. Unfortunately, this can't be fixed.

    1. Change the input of rotators and pistons to LandingGear. Must follow caps.
    2. Cant help with that. If it doesnt work you may have to check for connection point errors.

Sorry again for kinda begging here, but two things.

1 How the HELL did you get the thing to change from transport to combat mode with landing gear? I can't get anything except the landing gear to work through that.

2 Do you have any tips for coming up with things like this? Every time I try something like this it comes out big, ugly, and it doesn't work half the time.

Again you don't need to reply if you don't want to, I'm just asking.
